Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday period.
One of my main goals this year is to be more active on here. Last year was hard because I was deeply unhappy in my job and this lead me to become completely shut off and unmotivated in other aspects of life.
At the beginning of December, I started a new job which has made me much happier and I feel a lot better about life in general now too!
As the new year begins, I want to talk about a few of my goals for this upcoming year.
Be more active
I haven’t exercised a lot since graduating University, but I know that I need to look after my mental health and physical health more. I think a realistic goal for me to start with is try to do some form of exercise once a week, just to ease myself back into it.
Spend my money wisely
I wasted a lot of money on buying things I didn’t need last year, so I want to focus on using my money for better things. Instead of buying things, I want to focus on using my money to explore places or go to exhibitions and plays. I want to use it to experience things instead!
Read, read, read
I read 100 books last year which is incredible considering how little I’ve read in the past! I’d like to keep up my streak and read at least 60 books this year with the aim to shoot past that! I signed back up for NetGalley this year which should hopefully mean I can read more books on the go on my phone and spend less money on books! I’m going to aim to have a book with me wherever I go, just incase I end up having a spare moment where I can read. I love how books can whisk you away to other worlds or just make you think more deeply about the one we live in.
I started baking in the last half of 2019 and really enjoyed myself! I’d love to bake more and learn new skills so I can give my treats as presents to friends!
What are your goals for this year?
